Disabling private whois with GoDaddy

posted this on July 27, 2012, 1:05 PM

In order to disable private whois for a domain(s) with GoDaddy, you first need to visit the Domains By Proxy website and log in (Domains By Proxy is the provider for GoDaddy's private whois service). When you purchase privacy services through GoDaddy, Domains By Proxy sends you an email message with your customer number, password, and a link to the Domains By Proxy website. If you forget your login information, you can retrieve your customer number, retrieve your password hint, or reset your password on the Domains By Proxy website.

If you no longer have access to the email address associated with your DBP account and you cannot log in to update it, you must submit a Request for Email Update Form before you can retrieve or reset your login information.
