What is an 'Account Transfer'?

An Account Transfer (also referred to as an internal transfer) can be used to delegate ownership with a sub account or to transfer ownership of the domain to a third party. You'll need to know the domain you'd like to transfer from your account and the account code of the new account (listed at the top of the Control Panel). Here are the steps:

1. Log into your account. Click on "My Account" and select "Settings". 


2. From the Account Settings screen click on "Account Transfer" in the Other Account Tools section.


3. Enter the domain or domains you wish to transfer between accounts and enter the account code. Be sure to double check the account code. You can also select which domain contact fields to update during the transfer of the domain in the check boxes below. Once you click "Submit" you will have one more chance to review the transfer of the domains.
