There may come a time when you're locked out of your VPS server, or, need to change your root password. Never fear! You can do it from the control panel for your VPS!

To begin, login into your VPS control panel. Once in, click on the VPS you're looking to manage and refer to the following screenshot:

The arrow in the screenshot is pointing to the root password tab, where you'll need to click to make that change. After changing the password, click on the "General" tab, as you will need to reboot your VPS in order for your root password to change.

After the reboot is complete, you're all set!
