For this tutorial we are going to use the client FileZilla, but you can use any FTP client with comparable settings. FileZilla is a free and cross platform client. There are three pieces of information you will need to connect to your hosting plan.
The first is the host name of your server. Most likely this will be ftp.yourdomain.com or a server name like hs1.name.com. You can find this out on your Hosting Services page when logged into your Name.com account.
On this same page you can find the hosting username for your hosting account. You'll need this as well as your hosting password that you can reset on the Hosting Services page. Once you have these three pieces of information following these steps:
Locate and open FileZilla on your machine.
On the top bar enter the hostname, username and password and click Quickconnect.
This will connect to your hosting plan. On the left side of the FileZilla window you will see your local files listed. On the right side you will see the remote files on the server listed.
Select the directory public_html on the remote directory and locate on your local machine the files you wish to upload.
Drag the files you wish to upload into the right side of the FileZilla window.
